Simeon by Rembrandt touched me deeply.
Simeon's half-closed eyes conceal peace and wisdom.
His infirm hands move profoundly.

The child's little head looking trustingly at the old man makes the tears roll down the face.
The head is tender and is like a glittering point in the dark.

The old man is glowing in the darkness.

Sad, however peaceful Ann, is slightly lit by the brightness of the old man.
Never before have I seen such a beautiful painting touching with its wisdom.

The child's eyes are looking into the half-closed Simeon's eyes.

The old man's face is full of contrasts, there is all his life on the cheekbones - colours and stains.
Only closed eyelids have a beautiful and smooth surface.
Closed crookendly, they reveal the helplessness in the face of the old age.

The child's little head seems to be a particle next to Simeon. It's looking ahead and the eyes are looking at the old man calmly.

Ann is still beautiful - in spite of the crookedly closed eyelid there is so much beauty on her face.
The painting was painted for me. Rembrandt painted his life with his love to people.

Simeon's affection and tenderness made me calm. The child's trust made me sure.

Ann is like a good shadow.
The beautiful painting shos the deepest truth about love.
My heart was beating faster when I was approaching the beautiful spots of colour.
I felt my heart beating faster when I was looking at the parts of the painting at the distance of a few centimeters.
