A rug is a small carpet that can be used to cover the floor of a room or any part of your home. A lot many different types of techniques are used to produce RUGS. RUGS can also be produced by machines. However, handmade RUGS are much more popular and better. A very famous technique for creating a rug is braiding. Braided RUGS are quite durable and last for many years. Most people, thus, like to opt for a braided rug over any other kind of RUGS. However, the question that arises is- how are braided rugs made?

To create a braided rug, a base has to be created first. It can be made from anything- clothes, wool or any artificial material. Once the base has been made, a particular manmade fiber has to be woven into it. To do this, craftsmen, take three to four strips of clothes or whatever fiber they are using to make RUGS and then braid them into the base. For creating an oval rug, the centre piece and the side piece are braided separately and the two are then sewn together. Braiding is one of the oldest methods for producing RUGS.
